Praise God, I know many of you participated or heard of the
medical shipment of two large crates of medical supplies and equipment, and
dental supplies that weighed about 250 pounds each, that were shipped from
Evansville, Indiana, USA to Uganda, Africa approximately 7 months ago. You may
have remained with questions as to whether this shipment was delivered to us. The good news is that we received the shipment
on March 1, 2013.
It left Evansville on August 23, 2012, traveled to Louisiana,
was loaded onto a large cargo ship, traveled the Atlantic Ocean, and arrived in
Mombasa, Kenya on November 2, 2012. It then
had to go through a long screening process with the Kenya port and medical
authority, was taken by truck to Kampala, Uganda and then had to be examined by
the Ugandan medical authority. The
process took long for us to receive, due to it being the first international medical
shipment we have ever done. Hopefully,
this means that as we continue to work together, that God will provide more
shipments, and it will be easy to reach us.
We (Africans) are so excited and happy to receive such a donation
of the medical shipment. As you know the
health care system in Africa is still of low standard, we do not have enough
medical facilities, and over 70% of Africans cannot afford the cost of health
care, especially people in the slums and villages. This
makes us to feel so proud when GOD PROVIDES MUCH NEEDED EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES.
We so appreciate
those who donated the equipment and supplies to us, those who collected them,
those who invested their money in transporting them to Africa, and everyone who
played any role in achieving this.
We thank GOD that His
timing is perfect!!! This medical
shipment arrived when we had just finished an outpatient medical clinic, which
helped many people who were disadvantaged.
We did not have enough medical supplies, so some of these are going to
be used right away in this clinic, so that we are able to improve the health of
the African people.
We conduct free medical clinics (missions) on a monthly
basis, so we plan to use the remaining medical supplies, reading glasses,
dental supplies, etc. in reaching out to other needy people in the near future,
who are far from this medical clinic facility.
Again we extend our vote of thanks to you for believing in us
and standing with us in making this big cause a reality.
We highly welcome everyone to join us in “For the Love of
Africa.” Please pray for us as we strive to be obedient to God’s will and call
in all things.
Below are some of the pictures that were taken of the
medical shipment when we received them.
